Severstal North America, Inc. ("Severstal")

flat-rolled carbon steel products--hot rolled, cold
rolled, electrogalvanized and hot-dip galvanized--for

Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for the efficient operation,
planning, directing and supervising of the
activities in the Electrical Maintenance
Department of the Cold Mills Maintenance.
- Reports directly to the Cold Mills Maintenance
Manager.
- Supervises Electrical Maintenance Supervisors and
UAW represented skilled trades personnel in
planned and preventive maintenance activities.
- Reviews subordinates progress and evaluates
results of their work.
- Establishes and maintains effective working
relationships with direct supervisors, skilled
trades personnel, and other individuals inside
and outside of the Company.
- Makes decisions on complex technical and
administrative issues.
- Administers the Electrical Maintenance budget.
- Directs the implementation of departmental
policies.
- Prepares and presents various reports on daily
activities.
- Makes recommendations regarding new equipment for
Cold Mill Projects.
- Follows company policy regarding all health,
safety and environmental procedures.
Position Requirements
·
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or
the equivalent combination of education, training and
experience.
·
Five to seven years progressively responsible
supervisory experience in a medium to large sized
manufacturing setting. Experience in a Unionized
setting. Steel Industry experience a plus.

Prior project management or planning
experience.
·
Ability to analyze data, statistics and
reports.
·
Must possess strong decision making, problem
solving, and policy or procedure interpretation
skills.
·
Excellent interpersonal communication and
computer skills.
·
Must possess strong facilitation and
leadership skills.
·
Ability to manage crisis and multiple tasks.
·
Must be willing to work off shifts and
weekends, as necessary.
